Guest guest
, Patchouli to me sounds like a big sneeze... people who were around me when I was testing some on my skin remarked that I smelled like a wet dog. Only I thought it was more like a wet towel that had sat in the corner for 3 days mildewing. So if you find that it works with rose let me know! I'd hate to think I would smell like a mildewed rose I have blended Patchouli with Sweet Orange and also with Lavender essential oil. I find that you either like or you don't there is no inbetween. " And Mandy Aftel mentions in Essence and Alchemy that rose and patchouli together is -- oh I need to go look it up... Dang! I couldn't find it. So I can't quote her directly (sorry Mandy). But she basically says that patchouli and rose together are magical -- that the patchouli makes the rose open up exponentially. I hope I'm not getting myself into trouble by paraphrasing. But I've tried this combination just to see what it does. And oh, boy. What a lovely thing it is! Andrine

" I imagine sniffing something like that would be beautiful out of the bottle, or on a test strip. I don't have an aversion to it, but for some reason patchouli and I just don't mix, I've been told just my natural skin smells light & lemony. But put on something with patchouli and eewww, even to my nose I stink.
Guest guest
Hi everyone! Does anyone know of a good Patchouli Essential Oil co-op going on right now? I really, really need a pound of Patchouli but don't want to pay the $90 if I can find a group buying in bulk. Anyone? Katy
Guest guest
Wish I knew of a coop where I could get good, cheap Patchouli, but I don't. Just got mine from Rainbow Meadow, where it is $105 for 16 ounces. I tried selling it in a cut-your-own format for $2 an ounce, but just had a few takers. I finally cut it up like the rest of my soap and sold it as " Naked Patchouli " unwrapped. Then it started going. I will just have to eat the extra $$. It's fabulous patchouli oil. Guest guest
You need to be careful with patchouli. I would ask for a sample from Liberty Naturals. Melody of Rainbow Meadow told me she had to send back a shipment of patchouli as it was not aged long enough. Maggie , Shepherd Central New York, US www.maggiesfarminc.com From: Katy <katyr64@...> Subject: Re: Patchouli Date: Sunday, October 26, 2008, 12:45 AM I found Dark Patchouli at Liberty Natural for $81.45/lb but drops to $68.94/lb for 5 lbs. That's the best price I've been able to find. Using the last of my good Patchouli now. I use it straight in soap but also use it in 3 different blends. I'd sure hate to have to raise my prices just for those soaps and I sure can't discontinue them as they are requested frequently. Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with Liberty Natural? Thanks! Katy
