Guest guest
Hi all, We returned home from Oregon last week after visiting my 96 year old mother-in-law. It was a nice visit, in spite of the fact that she has age-onset dementia and at times doesn't know us. She still lives at home, so that's something! I'm off to the doctor today. I bumped my left elbow a few weeks ago and then again at the hotel we stayed at on our way to Oregon. It now hurts like the dickens whenever I pick anything up, or move it for that matter. I have switched from my pcp to a PA. I could never get into see the pcp (saw him maybe 3-4 times in the last 3 years). She ordered a CBC right off the bat to test my cholesterol, etc. My LDL was a bit high, 128, but I thought it wouldn't be a big problem. WRONG! I received a call from my cardio two days later saying that we needed to get it down to 100, which is optimum for my heart problems (mitral valve repair, cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure). BLAH! I'm now taking Pravachol to get it down and will have my LDL tested again in two months. I go to see my onc next week for my 3 month checkup and the neurologist a few days later. I'm hoping for good news from the neuro. He told me at my last appointment that I have fibromyalgia and have had it for the past 3 years. This explains a lot about the aches and pains that I've had. Another bother to overcome LOL. Hope everyone is feeling fine. I'll try to catch up on posts in between installing our new flooring getting ready for my brother's visit July 4. This will be the second time I've met him, so want my house to look tip-top. I'm also putting in a new flower bed in my yard. 26' x 12'. It's started raining again now, so that has been delayed until better weather. I'll paint today if I get the ok from the PA. LOL Take care, Zazzy
