Hi Aliza,

My first question is have you had your B12 and folic acid levels

tested to see if you even need the supplements?

I take B12 but that's because my levels are always low. If I had a

normal level, I wouldn't take anything that I didn't have to. To

answer your question though, I'm not aware of any interactions with

these supplements and Gleevec. I would just want to know if you

really do need them.

Your hematocrit, red count and hgb won't tell you anything about your

vitamin levels. My red counts are all normal yet my B12 is always

very low. Vitamin levels and red counts are not necessarily

correlated so you should have your vitamin levels tested if they

suspect you are low.

Take care,

Tracey
