Guest guest
Thank you for your replies! I will let you all know how it turns out. I had really never heard of them biopsying (sp?) a rash. I asked my mom about it (she is a retired RN) and she didnt remember it either. Then I kinda panicked when I read that a " fishnet " type rash can herold cancer of one of the major organs, not panicked anymore, but we will see. I am kinda weird like that, something small sends me into a panic and I totally ignore the big stuff!! Example....... about four months before I was dx'ed with CML I got into an argument with my oldest son (he was about 22) It was really stupid what we were arguing about, anyway I lived in a townhouse and followed him to the door giving him hell all the way, when we got to the door there was a steep stairway behind me, as he opened the door I dont remember what in the world he said but it made me furious and I reached out and slapped him on the cheek. BIG mistake! Now at that time I weighed a little over 300 lbs. and he weighed about 250. He spun around sooo fast with his arms folded across his chest and came up under my arms, direct hit in the chest which lifted me about five feet off the ground, NO JOKE, I went straight up and then back and came down with my left shoulder hitting my then 11 yr old daughter (thank God or it would have been worse!) and my left hip hit sqaurely on the not very padded step. My son after I looked up and said you broke my hip and started crying. My daughter Nikki was hysterical and I was trying to calm her, but I could not stand up for about 20 minutes. I called Dale at work and he told me to call an ambulance (he could not leave work as he was the only manager there) If he or I had known how serious it was (which neither of us realized until I was dx'ed with CML a few months later) He would have called the main manager and flew home. I was happy for him not to come though cause he wanted to kill Josh. I was in such bad pain and felt like I was sitting on a small volley ball. I eventually made it up the stairs and to bed. By the next morning it felt like I was laying on a basketball! I got up and looked in the mirror I had a BLACK bruise that ran from the outside of my hip all the way to my (excuse me I don't know the medical term) crack and it was cresent shaped! I was soooo sore and for two weeks I could tell it was bleeding into the area, it looked like a giant blood blister. I NEVER did go to the dr. for it. After I was dx'ed I realized it must have nicked the femoral or pelvic artery and had been slowly bleeding me to death before it finally clotted. To this day I have a dent in my left cheek and if you put your fingertips in it you can feel the muscle seperate. He may have even fractured my pelvis I don't know. But the point is......SEE WHAT I MEAN!!! I probably would have ended up in surgery had I gone to the hospital but I blew it off. But just let me get a little sniffle and I act like I am gonna die......lol......even one of my employers had commented on it. Anyway ever since I was dx'ed with CML I have become paranoid and am always afraid that I have a differant kind of cancer. Like the little lump on my eyebrow I was afraid it was melonoma when I have bloody stools I just knooow I have colon cancer....lol.....anyway thank you guys for your responses and I will let you know what is " actually " wrong when I find out....lol.... hugs, Katy From: onthewtr@... Or what is causing it. Should be interesting to hear what he comes back with. I apparently just have really thick bands of tissue there. Anyway that was the good news. I went to a skin doctor yesterday because I have this pesky lil rash up the front of my right leg that is making me crazy, while I was there I asked him about this lil tiny lump in my eyebrow. Well he biopsied both places, he is ruling out BCC or basil cell carcinoma on my eyebrow but wouldnt tell me what he was looking or with the rash......sooooo now I can't go swimming for two weeks I went sunday and felt sooo good afterward and was going to go yesterday after my appointment...oooh well. Anyway I will get the results back in two weeks. By the way, anybody know why he would biopsy the rash?? hugs, Katy
