Hi, Tracey.

I have gotten tons of blood blisters, or boils, since I started

taking Gleevec. I get a lot of them in my armpits and they are

pretty painful. I have switched from using perfume smelling

deodorants and, instead, use Dove Scent free, hypoallergenic

deodorant which has helped. I also get pock marks on the inner top

of my arms that have turned into scars. I think Bobby Doyle

mentioned that she got pock marks on her legs from taking Gleevec.

(Bobby, you will correct me if I'm wrong) As far as the edema in my

ears, I have that too. While I am sleeping, fluid actually leaks out

of my ears on my pillow. My ears are fine because I have seen an

ENT. I have edema in my feet also which gets worse on and off so I

am just happy my body is getting rid of the fluid one way or

another. LOL I wonder if anyone else also gets " chicken claw " in

their hands. It seems that sometimes, when I am cooking and stirring

sauce, my hands cramp up into a claw and my husband has to massage it

away from my hand to my forearm. This is really annoying but a small

price to pay for the wonders of Gleevec. I hope everyone is well and

staying happy and healthy.

hi , i am a hairdresser and when i give a haircut and are

holding my scissors in a certain position my fingers cramp up were i

can't move them till i massage them for a minute, it kills. I take

something called cal-mag from thorn 1 scoop in the morning with a

little water and 1 in the evening {not near the gleevec]and with an

empty stomach you also have to be carefull because the magnesium can

cause diareah, i am ok with it. It also helps with the cramping in

my legs.
