Guest guest
Dear Sharon, I would like to shake your hand and give you a big hug. CML is a huge challenge, but you chose to fight and run with it. Your story is so encouraging for anyone who is newly diagnosed with CML. You made my day!!!!! You are punching back and giving back. Thank you for sending the link to let us know what is happening in Boston. A few years ago, we flew to Boston and stayed in a hotel near Fenway Park. Every day as we went to ride the subway to The Commons, and watch the beginnings of the " Big Dig " , we walked by the huge green fence enclosing the park and passed people waiting on the sidewalk to buy tickets. When I lived in New England, Ted and the Red Sox were the talk everywhere. One of my jobs as secretary was to listen to the games and keep score for my boss. He didn't care if I did my work, he just wanted me to keep scores and he would check in every 5 minutes. Only radio was available and he made sure it was on my desk. At midnight tonight, I will celebrate my 12th CML anniversary and very happy to be here amongst so many brave cyber friends. We get up each morning and put on our pants one leg at a time, just like everyone else (I seldom wear dresses). I look forward to reading the list every day, it has become my lifeline. It is good that you have been able to accomplish your dreams and fulfil your passion in life, you are a true inspiration. Kudos to you for being so " normal " . Wishing you all the best, Lottie Duthu
