Guest guest
I don't know much about this procedure but I am a strong believer in getting pain meds when you need them. It is not appropriate to take pain meds for fun. It is TOTALLY appropriate to take pain meds for pain. I've sure had to battle some docs over this. Others seem to have more empathy. In about 7 hours I am scheduled for a " LLC " of the lower colon and about an hour ago my mom informed me they did not sedate you for this procedure! Well they better or they wont!! I can't see why they would send me to a same day surgery place if they werent going to sedate me?!? Has anyone ever had one? Did they sedate you? I had my Endo today and after three years the Xanthoma's are back in my stomach!! I had had them since I was 16 and about three years ago I was scheduled for my anual endo. to make sure they hadnt changed any, I called my pastors wife and she prayed for me. The next day for the first time since I was 16 there was not ONE of them in my stomach. Today when my Gastro. went in he told me they were back! But that is a completley other subject, I just want to know if they sedate you for this procedure?? I am soo sore back there, there is no way they are gonna touch it unless I am out!!! Anyone know anything about this procedure?? Hugs, Katy _________________________________________________________________ Get more from your digital life. Guest guest
Hi Katy, Not sure what the " LLC " is, but as someone who has had multiple colonoscopies, there is NO WAY I would have any without full sedation! I had a gastroscopy and they sedated me for that also. I can remember years ago when my mum used to have them and all they used to give was Buscopan (antispasmodic) which was inhumane IMO, but luckily by the time I started having them, they had switched to full sedation. I put BMA's into the same category - luckily only ever had to have 1 and my haem/t was happy to go with what I wanted. I hope all goes well for you. Guest guest
Katy, I you are referring to a colonoscopy, yes they do sedate you. I'm not sure what a LLC is, and I work in a surgery center where most of what we do are colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. From: katybug45@...
