Guest guest
Dear Bobby, I am beginning to loose count of how many BMA's I've had, but it is about 43. They used to give me BMB's at the same time, but when I switched to the BMS trial, they only took one and that was the end of them. It is a little more uncomfortable, but it's done quickly. It's true that you will always have a longer record than me, but I will always be older than you. LOL ly, I found that they are actually getting less and less uncomfortable. Nothing can compare with the first one, right? They are using nurse practioners now and instead of a team of three, there are only two, the assistant who does the recording and the nurse who does the BMA. I think the waiting time is the worse. Hope you have a better infusion and don't have to heave. Late this afternoon, I went to the hospital to get cross matched, I'm going to have a dual transfusion again. It's only been about 6 weeks since the last one and about the same amount of time since the one before that one. Jimmy insists on being there and I don't want him to hang around all day, it's such a bore. I wasn't even going to tell him, but it's the first thing he asked, there was a message on my answer phone. Good luck, Lottie
Guest guest
HI LOTTIE, YOU'RE RIGHT, THE MORE YOU HAVE THE EASIER THEY GET. AT ANN ARBOR THERE ARE THREE THERE, DON'T NEED THEM TWO WOULD DO. MY HGB IS 9.8, SO I EMAILED MY TRIAL NURSE AND ASKED HER ABOUT PROCRIT OR ARANESP, I THOUGHT IF I COULD GET THE SHOTS MAYBE I COULD AVOID ANOTHER TRANSFUSIONL. I KNOW I CAN'T GET THEM IN OHIO, ALTHOUGH I WAS GOING TO CALL THE CLEVELAND CLINIC AND ASK BUT FORGOT TO. ANN ARBOR CALLED ME TODAY TO SAY MY LABS ARE AT 9 AND INFUSION IS AT 10. I REMINDED HER I HAVE TO DRIVE 175 MILES, AND SHE DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE, SO I AM GOING AT 10 ANYWAY, AND GOING TO INFUSION DEP. AT 11, WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO, TURN ME AWAY? i DON'T NEED A BED OR EVEN A RECLINER, I PREFER TO SIT UP DURING THE INFUSION ANYWAY, SO I'M SURE THEY CAN FIND ME A CHAIR. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR TRANSFUSION, TAKE A GOOD BOOK,.
