Guest guest
Zavie - I have my paperwork from my blood test on 11/15/07. (This is the last cancer bloodwork I've had.) Final Diagnosis: Peripheral blood, BCR/ABL MRNA analysis. Positive. BCR/ABL mRNA transcripts were detected and estimated to represent 7.8% of total abl (% bcr/abl:abl) I don't have anything to compare it to though. It does say that Most CML patients at diagnosis have a bcr/abl:abl result in the range of 20% to 100%. Thanks, Tammy
Guest guest
Hi Tammy, This doesn't make sense. You should be tested every 3 months. You have gone way too long between tests. From your results it appears that you had a PCR test. Most people are 100% at diagnosis. Depending on your lad, if your PCR test was 7.8%, it would be close to 100% Ph+. Also, it is a good idea to have a WBC test monthly.
