Guest guest
Hi Barbara Ann and Geri, You two, could in a concerted effort " move mountains " with your words. I wasn't aware that one could make such changes. Which meaning of " impertinent " do we assume....... Just remember that the future holds endless possibilities. Guest guest
Hi Albert, <Which meaning of " impertinent " do we assume.......> Hmm.... Could I answer your question by saying, " My use of the word impertinent was intended to convey it's most benign meaning, and I hope it wasn't construed as an impertinent remark. " <Just remember that the future holds endless possibilities.> Not necessarily, since you wrote those words I've observed an apparent commitment to resist evolution on the part of some. Guest guest
, The Digest probably won't delete if you are trying to delete from the original Digest. That might sound confusing, but the Digest that you receive as a single e-mail message can only be deleted as a whole and not altered, by cutting part of it out, etc. This is how I handle answering Digest messages. 1. Scroll through the Digest until you find a message you want to answer or comment on. 2. Highlight only that individual message. 3. On the top of your computer, click on " edit " then " copy " . 4. After you've " copied " the individual message, which will be saved on " clipboard " , click on the " reply " button on your email program. That will give you the opportunity to reply to the message, with the original message showing in the " reply " screen. 5. Click on " edit " again. Then click on " select all " . This will highlight the entire digest that is showing on your " reply " . Click " delete " and delete the whole digest. 6. Then, go again to " edit " . Click on " paste " . Only the message that you copied will appear on the reply screen. At that point you can reply to the message and either leave it on your reply as reference, or delete it, as you see fit. Another option I sometimes use if I want to respond to several postings within one digest is: Highlight the first message I want to answer. Go to " Start " in the left corner of the Windows screen, then go to " Accessories " and from the drop down menu, select " Wordpad " or " Notepad " . This will bring up a blank document. From Wordpad or Notepad, go to " edit " and click on " paste " . Your copied email will now show in Wordpad or Notepad. When you are finished, click the _ box at the top right corner of Wordpad to minimize it, then return to the digest and highlight the next message you want to respond to. Repeat the above process until you've pasted all of the messages you want to answer into one Wordpad or Notepad document. When you're ready to answer these emails, Open up the digest you want to answer, click on " reply " , highlight the entire digest, delete it from " reply " , and then " paste " the first message you want to answer. Just be sure not to close the Wordpad document until you're finished answering all messages you want to answer or you'll have to start all over again. Hope this makes some sense. It's a tedious process but it's the only one I've been able to figure out so far. Take care, Geri
Guest guest
What happened to the format of the list? We seem to have more threads than we have needles for? Is responsible for straightening this out? Reminds me of when I used to try to ball up the wool to knit scarves for soldiers in WWII, it looked like the cat has gotten to it first. LOL. BTW, I never learned to really knit as a pro. I never learned to pearl, only knit, so the scarves had my trademark with only one stitch and a lot of tiny knots. LOL. Blessings everyone and remember today is D-Day. I was in Belguim and Germany for the 50th anniversary and it seemed like every soldier and sailor who survived that day was there. Please say a prayer for all men and women who are serving their country around the world. Lottie
