Dear Bobby,

I think we will be getting out of Dodge. My granddaughter has been calling

around and found a motel in Woodlawn, TX, wherever that is. We will probably

leave late this afternoon or early evening.

What's so scary is we have never had to do this for all the hurricanes I have

been through. It's the water surge we have to consider. I don't want to wait

until the last minute to leave and be caught in the gridlock on the highways.

I'll be shutting my computer down.

My cell phone is 985-232-4181

Home phone is 985-876-6474

\I can remember about 50 years ago, all of our phone number's prefix were 872-

and 873-. When I was growing up, it was 1138 and the cab company was 138, so

you know we have a not of wrong numbers. Once we had a number that was one

digit different from the number to call for time. Our phone rang night and day

and people would ask for the time. They didn't realize they were supposed to

hear voice mail. Now we get calls for the parish government nearly every day.

I'm shutting my computer down, so if you need to contact me, use my phones.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey, Lottie I wish you well. My Aunt Peggy lives in Zachary and she just got her

power back on today. They had been told it would be 3 weeks. I know they were

happy to get power back on.
