Guest guest
Dear Sharon, That is such good news that ie is in the Chronic stage. Dr. appointments will become routine. I went in weekly , then every two weeks, then gradually every 3 I am now down to every two months. I was on Gleevec but had to switch to Sprycel. I get blood work at every dr appoint. Because I am on sprycel, I get a chest xray every three months because Sprycel can cause plurel infusion so they watch that closely. I have a bone marrow every 6 month up until now, my next will be in a year. I know the anxiety you are feeling. Don't be afraid of calling your son's onco with questions. They have nurses that can answer alot of your questions otherwise they will ask the dr. that's what they get the big bucks for. It will get better. Taking the meds will become second nature. Just make sure ie takes it religiously, young people can get caught up in living the life of a new college student and become lax. I will keep both of you in my prayers. Keep looking up! carolyn_kuptz2000@...
