Guest guest
Well, by Lafayette, LA here and we made it through by the skin of our teeth. I feel so bad for everyone that did not fair as well! My husband was unable to keep his appointment at MD and we got a letter yesterday stating that his Dr. is leaving for a while to treat his kidney cancer that we didn't even know that he had. How wonderful was that man to treat everyone that has a cancer and not once let anyone know of his own trouble. I hope I don't get in trouble but please pray for this man if you can. Everyone has been a big comfort just knowing now that ya'll are here to read about others that are dealing with this fun disease and the meds fun side effects. Thanks to all of you and hopefully we will get to MD quick because last time his levels were completely out of whack and they put him on Sprycel and we spent the night at the local er. By the way I have a whole bottle of Spycel if anyone needs or knows someone who needs it donated. I think he took 1 dose of the $5200.00 meds. Thank God for my co-pay of $30.00 or we would have spent our savings (oh, I forgot we spent that when he was 1st diagnosed on the Gleevac)!! You have to laugh you can't cry!! Well take care and let us know anyone about the Sprycel. Sincerely Blessed, & Annette Tripkovich
