It's good to have you online. Wasn't that a terrific support meeting!

Everyone will be willing to anwer your questions, and no question is

stupid. Those who have been through the DS surgery DON'T know it all

and are the first to admit it. Everything is individual.

I am a good deal older than you, and had surgery on a Wednesday. I

would have been released on the weekend, but went into a convalescent

home, and they don't do admissions on weekends. So I left the hospital

on a Monday, had JT's pulled on Thursday, and all went well. Best of

luck.

So nice to meet you.  I found out I had CML trying to donate blood twice.  I had

a large bruise on my left leg you think I would have taken the hint. Ha... I

have 2 teenage boys 12,14 and a workaholic (thank God) husband and a siamese

seal point cat 2yrs old.  My last cat passed  from leukemia he (Dude) 16+ years

old. I am so glad this site is international.  I would love to travel but next

month it will be 1 yr since my BMT and I will be revacatinated.  My mother was

German so I went to Europe twice one day will go back.  It is beautiful.  I went

to my local oncologist and my counts run lower than normal whatever that is.  I

think it is different for everyone.  I took Glivec and Sprycel and was

intolerent of both so I am taking very few drugs right now.  But next month the

bone marrow biopsy wiltell us if I will go back on Sprycel.  My oldest sister

was my match she is a nurse.  I have short hair now but I look like a troll so I

got a nice

wig on sale.  Christa (no wig) Stevie with long blond hair.  I say whatever
