Guest guest
Dear Judy, Yes, we can pray for Cam. I hope he is a real slugger and really bats the ball out of the park on the second time around. They say it's always better the second time around. Your heart has to really go out for someone like that. Did I complain about anything today, remind me to shut my mouth. Let's all think positive thoughts for Cam and when you do, say a little prayer. I was at Ochsner Clinic today for a MRI and a nuclear bone scan. I had to answer a questionaire and while doing it said a few silent prayers for every " no " I put on that page. I thought to myself how " lucky " I am that I didn't have the other things listed. There is always someone worse off than I am and I am especially grateful that have been spared; that I don't have to have a sheet of paper before me to feel grateful and remind me of all the other things I could be suffering from. I say to myself that I am doing well for the shape I'm in. LOL. Now if I was Zazzy, I would be saying LMAO, right Zazzy? Now she has had more things happen to her than you can shake a stick at, but I never hear any complaints, she's in competition with the Energizer Bunny and I hope to heaven she wins. Time to give his crown to someone else. If we look around our group, you will find several people who have done exemplary things in the name of service. Dorothy Emery has gone before congress to argue for a case against lowering the cancer grants and raising them. Zavie is leaving for Italy for an International Conference for Organizations Representing People with CML and GIST, just to mention that for some of you who didn't know. Everyone knows he is an ambassador of good will by keeping track all the patients who have earned their " Zero " status with a number they can call their own and announcing it with a Yipee and . Tracey is our moderator who answers our questions and takes notes for telephone conferences. If I left anything out, let me know and if there are others who play a big role in making this list a success, I would like to mention them, also. I consider myself a newbie here, as I don't know everyone yet. We have a member who has recently surfaced, Greg s, to tell us he has a web site in honor of his mother, Carolyn who lost the battle with CML last year. He has been chosen by the Lance Armstrong LiveSTRONG organization to carry the charge to the summit and is bringing all of your letters that he is putting in a book. Further, he will be carrying the torch as a delagate to be held at Ohio State in July. If you haven't sent your story in yet, it's not too late, but don't wait too long, because Greg will have to put all of these stories in an informal interview format. We can all hope he will share the news of the event and bring back pictures for our folder. Lance Armstrong will be there, don't we all wish we could be a fly on the wall and experience even a small part of it. Be well and think positive thoughts for everyone who is having a hard time with anything in life. Blessings and peace to all, Lottie
