Guest guest
Dear Peggy, Hope you came through the storm well. I was watching MSNBC and they told of a family who had evacuated from Katrina to North Carolina to family there and now they are going through your storm. Talk about bad luck! We have our fingers crossed for you, glad I live in Colorado! Colorado Springs [ ] Hurricane Peggy I wish you well with the hurricane. I have family that live oceanfront in Kill Devil Hills. Guest guest
Yes, we are right outside of Houston. we were among the 2.5 - 3 million who decided to evacuate. Took us 14 hours to get to Waco (175 miles from here), but only 4 1/2 hours to get back home! All in all, spent a nice 4 days getting some R & R in our hotel room! We got home and found a few branches down but nothing serious. We were really lucky. Are y'all having the bad heat too? It was 103 on our front porch yesterday. Thanks for asking. Guest guest
Hi Billie, So good to know you’re all ok over there. We’ve seen so much of it all on the news here in Australia and just can’t get over the devastation and suffering. I used to live in a cyclone area for 13 years – thanks heavens I don’t any more. Great to hear you’re ok though. Guest guest
Dear Matt, I don't know anyone who goes to Moffitt, but I am hoping and praying that you don't have any wind or water damage. My house can withstand the winds, but there is nothing to hold the water back, it would take a lot of sand bags around the perimeter. Take care and be extra careful if you have to drive. Maybe you should postpone your visit until the weather settles down. Best wishes, Lottie
