It is SO GOOD to hear from you directly! You've sure been in all of our prayers,

Lottie. What an ordeal. As usual, here you are after a terrible catastrophe,

thinking of the welfare of others! : - )

While you may or may not have insurance, there are times when you

may need help with payment for your drug.

There is help for co-pays, premiums, deductibles, and other patient costs

associated with cancer drugs. These are qualified by the particular cancer that

you have. While all of these costs may not be covered, there may be some help

for people with your diagnosis.

Welcome back. We had a hurricane hit us for two days

and flood our city back in September. I had to wade

through the water to see my father who was in the

hospital, so I am there with you. I am thankful you

are back!

Thank you too for the articles on health insurance.

My employer of 15 years has decided to let me

go (he has been trying since my diagnosis) and

I will have to go to Cobra and possibly then be

unsure if I can afford it. So your post is very

relevant to me.

Be well Lottie, and welcome back.

With warm regards,

Matt Maynor

Dear Matt,

I'm sorry to hear about your job. It can be an incredibly stressful

time, but you seem to be maintaining your usual positive attitude.

My prayers are with you.

Matt, I suggest if possible you talk to a lawyer. It sounds like your employer

has violated the Americans with Disabilities Act, which covers those of us with

this illness along with many others.
