Guest guest
Thanks for everyone for the updates on Lottie. I sure hope they don't have to evacuate again as soon as they get home!!! The news from Huoma (sp?) was not good! Gay LOTTIE SORRY ABOUT THAT, I HIT THE WRONG KEY. Guest guest
Well, they are all safe and that's the important thing, but I can see how she would be depressed, wouldn't we all be. Two more months of hurricane season, hopefully no more will come, or they won't be as bad as these. Lottie must hate being out of the loop with the group. I just came back from Ann Arbor, saw Len and Ernie, Len looks great, is a bit tired. We had dinner, and breakfast together, and it rained the whole time, is still raining. My infustion went well, the new anti nausea meds work well. I hope everyone is well and out of danger from the storms, take care, love, Boby a (Bobby) Doyle Brecksville, Ohio, USA DX 05/1995 02/2000 - Gleevec Trial/OHSU 06/2002 - Gleevec/Trisenox Trial/OHSU 06/2003 - Gleevec/Zarnestra Trial/OHSU 04/2004 - Sprycel Trial/MDACC, CCR in 10 months #840 - Zavie's Zero Club 09/2006 - out of CCR 04/29/08 - XL228 Trial/ U.of Michigan 06/02/08 - CCR ( in 4 weeks) From: MargotM <redbudln@...> Subject: [ ] Lottie Date: Saturday, September 13, 2008, 4:19 PM I just talked to Lottie. She is still at one of her sons' houses where they still have utilities. The other son has no utilities. The son's house with utilities has no access to or from his house as the street is flooded. She is quite depressed. Her own house has no utilities and some damage, she didn't indicate what damage, except that the neighbor's tree fell into her yard and hers fell into the neighbor's yard. She thinks this is not the end of the situation, but just the beginning of it all. They got more water and rain from Ike after having enough problems from Gustav. She says they may end up in the attic. She said Rhonda in Houston has lost electricity. Margot

Guest guest
I'm so glad to hear the infusion went well, Bobby -- and that you don't have to put up with nausea, which is pretty darn depressing too. Guest guest
Hi Bobby, It's good to hear that Len is doing well. Is she seeing a response from the infusions? I'm happy for you that they have found some anti nausea medicine. It stinks to be sick, no matter how temporary it is. How long will you and Len have to receive the infusions? Will you be able to discontinue them when you reach pcru? Or is it like the other therapies and you will continue as long as you receive a response? I'm sorry for all the questions. If there was a cancer center closer to my home, I'd be interested in trying it. I'm glad Lottie & Jimmie are safe. But it is sad that they have to go through this so often. Tell Lottie to keep her head up. I'm praying for them. God Bless, Jackie S. Guest guest
All those who have experienced hurricane problems are in my prayers. My son and his family evacuated Houston to be here with us in San . has gone home by himself today to check out the damage. We've been told that four to five million people are without power, but called a little while ago and said that the west side of Houston is beginning to function again. Lottie has been hit twice. Whoever talks to her, please tell her that she's in all our thoughts and prayers. Gay Bratton [ ] Lottie I just talked to Lottie. Guest guest
Lottie Well what an adventure Everytime we sighted the news on TV or in papers about the Ike we thought of you and hoped it all would work out well I have been reading your 2 weeks away itinery and we all were getting updates from various people such as Bobbie and others who were in contact with you so we knew you and Jimmy were A-OK 606 emails to attend to. Well that is two weeks worth of conversation just there. I agree we are all addicted to our computers - When I was in hospital the day I got out and home - on it turned to chat to the world. I don't think I had 606 emails though How is your health - infusions A-OK Keep in good health and welcome back Sue (Aussie)
