Guest guest
Hey, everybody. I responded a few weeks ago to a lotion bar container question by telling about a customized oval-shaped plastic package I've been working on. I wanted to give you an update. I received 100 of the plastic units 2 weeks ago; these were produced with the prototype tooling, and it allowed me to test them during a craft show last weekend. My first observation was that it was so easy to fill these containers--big target area with less spill and virtually no mess to clean up. The bars released beautifully from the package, and so far, after 2 weeks, the package I've been carrying in my purse shows no sign of wear-and-tear! Folks who've been using my lotion bars immediately recognized the convenience of the container and they loved the way it looked. (I even had several requests from existing customers who wanted to buy empty containers to use with lotion bars they already owned.) By the way, I increased my price for the lotion bars in the plastic containers by one dollar (as compared to my molded lotion bars packaged in waxed bags), and I sold all 100 of the " container " lotion bars in one weekend. I'm thrilled! Labeling is the next challenge to solve; for the 100 I did for the craft show, I had someone cut out labels with a laser cutter, but what I need to do is have a special die made. I will eventually have customized labels on letter-sized stock that I can run through my computer. Can you see me grinning with delight? Theresa Grace Soap Co.
