Guest guest
Dear Eva, Now don't you get all wobbly on us, Eva. LOL You really are doing quite well by most standards and I wouldn't worry about holding the Gleevec for a week. We are not doctors, we can only discuss our own experiences, but no matter how low my counts got, they never withheld my Gleevec, not even when I had surgery. We are all different, but since you responded so well in a short time, you will rebound quickly. In a few months, you will be writing newcomers and telling them not to worry because you have been there. The best hurrah is that you are tolerating Gleevec and you already know that it works for you, so be glad in that. The rest are incidentals. Maybe you should read off some of the responses from members to your doctor, she probably has little experience with CML patients. Just remember that Gleevec is killing off the leukemic cells and producing new, healthy ones in their place. Blessings and peace, Lottie
