The old school

Barbara Stanley and Bobby Doyle,

We three are from the old school of Gleevec and Bobby and I, a long line of

other drugs. I have met Bobby in person, but have not as yet met Barb, but we

have talked about it. It would be nice to have a reunion and I'm sorry you have

never met anyone from a support group Barb, except for Jackie. I may have an

edge on both of you, I have met over 20 from this and a former group whose name

we will not mention here. LOL.

I just wanted you both to know that I just spoke to Jackie Schneider and

she is fine. They have lost part of their crop, but they have no flooding. She

is doing well and due back at MDACC on July 2, so I will miss her by a few days

again. I know Barb and Jackie met back in Iowa, but not sure if Bobby had the

pleasure of meeting her. On one of her trips, I also met her daughter, ,

also a teacher. She is completely free of the T315i via HHT. Her injections

have been reduced to just a few a month and she is not on any other drugs for

CML. She is really encouraged and looking forward to her next trip to Houston

to see what Dr. Cortes has in mind as the next step. I told her about Bobby

being CCR and she was so delighted to hear that for her sake. I told her to ask

about XL228. It was only last year that Jackie found out she had the dreaded

T315i, and while being disappointed, I have never seen her lose hope.
