Guest guest
I love strawberries, spinach and a little banana. If the strawberries are sweet I skip the banana.I also like almond milk, Plain Greek yogurt and strawberries. There is also a strawberry lime sorbet in the vitamix recipe book that is fabulous.Sent from my iPhoneOn Jun 13, 2012, at 2:00 PM, "mariadnoca" <sparkles_95130@...> wrote: I got one of those getting ready to leave, give you a flat so I don't have to take it home deals at the Farmer's Market...so I've got a LOT of strawberries. Guest guest
A couple of weeks ago I made strawberry cantaloupe ice cream that was really good, I used fresh strawberries, almond milk and frozen cantaloupe. It was delicious! Have fun using up your windfall of strawberries. I also recently made some cashew cream for a dessert and used the rest of it on fresh strawberries and that was good too. Cashew Cream 1 cup raw cashews soaked overnight Drain the nuts and put them into the Vitamix. Add enough water to cover the nuts. Add 20 drops of stevia (or to taste) Add 1 teaspoon vanilla or maybe a little cinnamon. Blend until smooth. Janet
Guest guest
I pureed a bunch I had (no water, no sugar) and poured into muffin tins. I first placed plastic wrap on the tins so that I could lift them out easily - just one sheet long enough to cover 3 holes, and put them in the freezer. Once frozen I took each puck of strawberry and put them in a ziplock bag. Now I have my frozen strawberries for smoothies, etc. I actually did this for a bunch of different fruit I bought at Costco. Also made syrup out of some fruit - love it! 3 cups of fruit 1/4 cup of sugar 1 tbs of lemon Run the soup setting (or high for 5 minutes). Yum! Now you have a sauce that can be used as if it were thin jam.
