Guest guest
Thanks. I do have some acid reflux (at least, I do now!) But also, I'm taking nsaids. I will never let my prescription run out again! I have to wait for the meds to come in the mail, and it's taking forever. Guest guest
Dear Jeanie, I suffer from severe stomach pain and my doctor prescribed Hyoscyamine .375 mg. It's an extended release drug and really does help. It works by slowing down acid produced in the stomach, slowing down the natural movement of the gut and relaxing the stomach muscles. That's a lot for a little white pill. I hope this information helps your problem. Do you still have your gall bladder? If not, your liver then dumps all of the bile directly into the stomach and the lining is already irritated because of the cancer drugs. May you have blessed relief, I did, Lottie
Guest guest
Hi Lottie, Thanks for that advice, I will talk to my onc about, I sure don't want to quit taking the med. No, I don't have a gall bladder and have always had some pain, but could live with it; evidently the Tasigna really turned it on. Anti Acids don't help, but maybe I wasn't using the right ones. I was using rolaids. It feels like I might have gastritis. Thanks again, Jeanie<3 In a message dated 9/27/2008 9:02:21 P.M. Guest guest
Hi Lottie, My primary care dr gave me nexium today. Is this the same as the Hyoscramine? When do you take it? With you Tasigna? I sure hope it works. Thanks, Jeanie In a message dated 9/27/2008 9:02:21 P.M. Guest guest
> > My husband has done 9 rounds with DMSA and ALA. It happened now already a few times on chelation days that he had a terrible pain in his stomach, which lessened after he went to the toilet and had stools. > Could this be a side-effect of the chelation? > We just received the results of a stool test, it seems he has some kind of candida. (c. glabrata, and I think he has this candida already many years)) Could his pain be related to the candida? At my house, that meant yeast, either overgrowth or die off. Candex or Candidase on an empty stomach evening and morning and NOW Candida Clear have been helpful here, along with probiotics.
