Guest guest
YES! You can buzz them up in to a powder in the Vitamix (buzz from frozen for best result) I add agave or honey to the powder to make a paste, which can then be used to make marvelous hot chocolate or as a sub for cocoa powder in baking. You can also leave the powder plain, and store it in the freezer in a mason jar to add to recipes as needed. If you are REALLY adventurous, you can make homemade chocolate-a tedious but rewarding process. > > I forgot to reschedule my auto delivery on amazon. Now I have lots of cocoa nibs. Guest guest
Thank you, . Can the powder be used the same way as regular powdered cocoa? I think some of the one I have is sweetened with palm sugar, so it would be all ready for cocoa if I ground it up. Do you put it in the reg. container? I don't have the dry one. Thanks again, TrishSent from my iPadOn May 17, 2012, at 11:40 AM, "" <berrywell@...> wrote: YES! Guest guest
It won't be as smooth as cocoa powder if you just stir it into a drink, but if you add hot water or milk and buzz it in the vitamix, it makes a lovely drink (my daily staple, lol) Nibs are VERY hard, and will pit your container, so I recommend the dry container. You can make the paste more velvety with a procedure called conching, but it is time consuming and tedious, but does make a lovely end result. > > > > > > I forgot to reschedule my auto delivery on amazon. Guest guest
Our Lea Ann can probably get you the best deal on a dry container-I am sure she will contact you with details when she sees your post. A dry container is a very worthwhile investment for the Vitamix..I use my dry more than I do the wet! > > > > > > > > I forgot to reschedule my auto delivery on amazon. Now I have lots of cocoa nibs.
