That is so very important. Sandy - So glad to hear you're feeling better. I've been on a trip to CA to visit my Mom (always stressful) and haven't kept up on many postings from the board (deleted many because they started piling up...) but I did see your post about what you've been going through.... so glad you've gotten some support, time to yourself & feel a little better about it all. I was held hostage by the dysfunctional air transportation system for about 33 hours trying to get home from LAX (to Virginia Beach, VA)..... it was horrible. Stuck in DC overnight with a gazillion other people.... only 4 hours from my home & I couldn't get here. UGH!!! I spent the night at a ridiculously expensive hotel (one of the few still affordable rooms in the DC area that night) and rented a car to drive home the next day!!! If I wanted to wait for a flight, I'd be stuck there for 2 days. What an experience!! One fun thing happened though - only in LA - as I'm waiting in line to board the plane, I look at this incredibly good looking guy standing right in front of me (who kind of glanced at me & smiled.... he had to.... I was obviously oogling him....) and I thought " nice....... HOLY CRAP.... it's Noah Wyle!! " I was immediately star struck & couldn't think of a single thing to say.... oh well... there went my chance to run off with 'Dr. '. HA. Guest guest
I have now lost 4 pounds in 3 days! I was slow getting started losing for some reason, my body wanted to hold on to everything If you get my drift. Odd when I was eating so much roughage and I am usually so regular! I had more energy this morning and my head seemed clearer. Hope this all continues! Now to share a great salad dressing! No salt or oils needed! It is great on spinach with extra sliced strawberries! Strawberry Vinaigrette 8 Cups strawberries cleaned (frozen or fresh) 1 Cup Bragg cider vinegar 2 tsp. dry mustard (I love 's) 1 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. onion powder Blend in Vitamix! Better after overnight. Hope this helps somebody! GweninTX
Guest guest
I make something like this with walnuts added - I don't know what walnuts would taste like overnight though… I used to just take a bit hand full of strawberries, a small hand full of walnuts, some sea salt, and a couple of glugs of vinegar, blend it all up, and pour over a salad. Sometimes I used to add some fresh basil.
