Thinking I have to add some kind of protein to each smoothie. Guest guest Posted July 17, 2012 Report Share Posted July 17, 2012 I do eat in an hour. This morning I followed up my KISS Green Smoothie (an hour later) with a breakfast of liver and onions. If you allow the fruits and greens to fully digest, your body gets the nutrients from the greens and fruit easier. I get most of my proteins from bone broths, and organic meats.I don't follow proper food combining "religiously" but I do follow it often. I would like to say too, that I recently purchased a juicer, and I find green juices to be much more satisfying and enjoyable than green smoothies. Of course, I love all my nut milk and coconut yogurt based smoothies in the VitaMix....mmmmm....Creamy, sweet, lucious! But I've noticed that I much prefer the green juices over the smoothies.
