Thank you, everyone, for the ideas and help with the 3600.  The current conundrum is the blade assembly is wobbly and needs to be tightened down.  Is there a way to tighten it?Thanks!

I have a 3600 container that needed a new spigot (I do use mine, with

the juice press, which is not useful without a functioning spigot) which

I at the time I couldn't get from Vitamix, and I also couldn't get a

plug from Vitamix. So I took the container to the local hardware store

and asked handy-dandy-Jimmy in there what he had that I could use to

plug it with. I left with a silicone part from something else that

popped in there slicker'n a whistle. Paid $1.40.

Since then I've found a working spigot, popped out (but you can bet I

kept) the silicone bit, and installed the spigot. Happy me!

I'm sure your local hardware guy can plug up that hole, likely for

pretty cheap. So take out the spigot (you can put it back in if you

have to, and are careful), find an old been-there-forever hardware, take

your container-with-a-hole in, and ask their been-there-longest old guy

for help and point out that the container can't be used as is. Those

older fellows are the ones whose minds immediately to go " fix and

salvage " rather than " she must buy another " .

Then start saving now for a new one. :-)
