so true. i wish i had the hyper metabolism before i was dxd with CML. i have

lost 25 pounds but gain 3 pounds in one day. swelling no doubt.

It does occur to me that the fact that I started losing weight after a time on

Gleevec after gaining a lot might have been one of the first clues that I was

losing my response. Any thoughts on that?

Hi Ann,

How did you lose that 25 pounds? Had you gained it on Gleevec or Sprycel?

Twenty-five pounds seems to be an average weight gain of a lot of people on this

list as I recall from previous posts. I'm going to find out what I can

tomorrow. I called the nurse on the trial and asked that she contact BMS to ask

what the drug company has to say about Sprycel and weight gain and metabolism.

I'll report back as soon as I get some answers.

Best get a mutaint test good you are loosing weight.

The weight loss I had was on Gleevec and the weight loss preceded losing

response to the drug. Just thought that might not be a coincidence.
