Guest guest
Hi Toni,......Sorry your in so much pain right now. I had vertigo back in 06. I was actually on Plaquenil, not sure what caused it. My rheumy gave me a prescription for, " Meclizine. " It helped, and I didn't have to take many, it all went away, it was really weird. I hope the Prednisone keeps working for you, and your pain and veritgo go away. Take care, Tawny
Guest guest
Tanwy, thank you. Apparently the pred is working. there is some sort of virus going around that is making people dizzy. It last 4-5 weeks!! OMG that is a long time. I should go see the doc as my rheummy suggested I just don't have the money. I think you can buy that drug OTC. If I am correct they use it for sea sickness too. At least my joints are hurting far less now with the pred. So that is a good thing since I am expected to return to work full time by next month! Stupid LTD!! Toni ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
Guest guest
Toni,.....You can buy a OTC drug for sea sickness, it should work just fine. That is a nasty virus, 4-5 weeks is a very long time!! I'm glad the Pred is helping you. That's a bummer LTD, I can't believe they expect you to work FT. I hope there is a way to fight it. Guest guest
I had vertigo a few years ago and was told by an audiology specialist that it was one of two things since I was relatively young and healthy. The first was that a few of the crystals in my ears responsible for balance were dislodged-- the cure for this involved kind of a chiropractic maneuver. The second was that as a younger woman, my hormones were, for some reason, causing vertigo. In any case, I encourage your friend to visit an audiologist for tests if she can. From: amanda@...
