[ ] Hey!!

I haven't written in a while but I've been lurking.

I had my BCR-ABL test done and the results were back last Wednesday.

I went from 0.026 in May to 0.021 in August.

My hemo/oncl says I won't need the test run for six months.  I will still see

him every three just to make sure everything is still ok!!

Zavie, what is my number again??

Fantastic Jo-Dee

Those numbers still going south

More encouraging is the confidence that your Haem. has not to have testing for

another 6 months

- now that is the proof in the pudding that he thinks your bloods are on the

right track

- (plus saving you further expense)

Congratulations

My results come back next week (Monday my appointment) so fingers crossed that I

also

in the same downward trend.

Zavie I know my number - you are not alone Jo-Dee I have to usually be reminded

by Zavie

but next week is another week and the memory cells may have to be prompted

again.

Wish me luck

Bone pain gone - rashes gone - only a few flat blood blisters left

Dear June

I don't recall how SSDI figures how much to pay you, or how far back they go to

come up with the amount. I can check later tonite when hubby goes to bed, it

gets boring when I can't do housework while he's sleeping, it's hardier to sit

still to read, so that's usually when I tackle any research, it also helps me

from heading for the cookie jar! Or if someone else in the group knows that info

off the top of their head and gets back to you, that's fine, I'll check before I

research. When I had to quit work 5 years ago, I mad almost $14/hr(I made tips

too, but at the time, the IRS didn't make us report what we made, that's

changed) I make $1264/month before medicare takes out there portion. I worked at

casinos for 20 years, starting at $5.50/hr. Maybe that can give you an idea of

what you can expect from SSDI if you ever try for it.

We had too much credit card debt-we helped out lots of people, and have to admit

, we spent some on ourselves. So we signed up for Consumer Credit Counseling

Services (CCCS) and our debt will be paid off in 3 more years, our truck should

be paid off a year later. We're starting to save for a house again after the

first of the year. We've learned our credit lesson. We didn't want to do

bankruptcy as that takes 10 years to get off credit reports, and we're not

getting any younger.

Things will get better-don't know when, but I do believe they will. I've learned

a lot from this group and am grateful to have found it.

Jeannie
