Guest guest
Dear , Congratulations on your 2nd year CML anniversary. Your bringing up the word survivor has come at a good time to help our newcomer feel better about her son having CML. Today, it's all about survivorship and each time someone reaches a new milestone, we are all happy and applaud that person. For me it has been 12 years and a few months ago, it was Bobby who celebrated her 13th. We are the two old broads of the group and we like to celebrate our anniversaries as well as our birthdays, because neither one of us thought we would still be around. At the time of our diagnosis, the odds of that happening was very slim. It is normal to cry when you find out you have CML, but I can't tell you how long it has been since I shed a tear over my having CML. I cried for 3 weeks non-stop, but once I found others with CML, we could exchange information, and I found encouragement, and in time acceptance. Enjoy those anniversaries, I don't want to be reminded of the bad old days. Blessings, Lottie
