Guest guest
For those interested in trying a lower salt diet for possible weight reduction and better control of water retention (including pleural effusion) I suggest a salt substitute. The main ingredient is potassium chloride which we need to fight off the bad effects of lasix and other diuretics. I'm told by a knowledgeable and experienced friend that the best substitute out there is called Also Salt. He said it has a natural ingredient in addition to the potassium which cuts down on the aftertaste which can be a problem with other substitute.
