my 1st trip

Hi guys

just thought i would share with the group i finally am going away for

the 1st time in 2 yrs. since i was dx.To me this is a big thing

because i have been soooooooo afraid since to travel so fri. will be

my 1st attempt.also since i started gleevec I have felt a burning

pain and congestion that can last eighther 2hrs. or sometimes all

day. i thought i was having heart problems and had all the tests also

pain in the left side (arm) all has tested negative the latest is

shoulder and back pain both muscular and bone.I'm sharing in case

anyone else is feeling the same symtoms I think it's a side affect of

the gleevec but all blood work tests fine.so what is the great news?

that i have learned to accept these as side affects and as a result

the fear i have been dealing with for the last yr. or so,the fear has

gone away thats why i'm taking the trip; just in case someone is

feeling the same dread,fear is one of the side affects as real as

the physical ones

i have found that fear is cripling and thanks to the group and what

our wariors have faced and suvived has given me the guts to live

again

Enjoy your trip Aliza,I just went on a trip also with 3 other couples

and i was always afraid i would get sick when i took my Gleevec so i

took it very late at night and one time it was so late when we got

home i just couldn't take it,but i guess that was alright.
