that is what I keep telling them it is case he is getting bullied all the time and when he says anything to the teacher he tell them he hit a kid but that kid hit him first then they ask the kid the kid lies and says that he did not hit my some and so my some get in shit at school and I get a phone call every second day it is ware I am almost at the point that I am going to tell the school do not call me anymore and lose my number unless he is going to the hospital to missing case I am so tired of it I asked why the other kid's dad do not get a call and the other kid get in shit they tell me it is case my some started it dam my kid tells me and my wife everything including the stuff he knows that will get him in shit this just is really getting me down it has been going on for over a year with them making me get my kid to see this doc and that and if I did not they threatened to get children's aid after me case I was not taking my kids best interest in mind dam they make me so mad and I truly do not kneed this at this time in my life with everything else it is just peeking over the top for me I could not believe that the school would try to get a worker for children aid to get after me they are real jerks up hear yes some kids kneed it but up hear they abuse there powers I grew up in a home and wow I could tell you stories but to send them after me just cause I say no to a doc appointment cause I had him see 3 of my own well 2 I knew and 1 was a child specialist to see if there was a problem mentally just to be on the safe side it is not good enough for them the worker still has not come yet I am sitting hear in pain waiting for her she was supposed to be hear at 10 am est. -5 GMT. just incase some of you are in a different time zone I do not know what to say to her I know if I start I may say some things I regret later cause I am so mad at the whole thing I tell you stress surly can increases pain I am sorry I am blabbering on hear thanks for that confidence in my son it is truly appreciated

Most of us, I think, consider everyone on this list as belonging to one big group. An extended family of sorts. Strangely enough, I often find myself communicating more frequently with my "JRA family" than with members of my biological extended family : ) We started out a few years back as just a couple parents spread around the globe whose children had JRA, as a means by which we could share JRA-related information. My, how we've grown : )

The majority of our list members don't post at all. They'll read whatever might be pertinent to their child's case, take notes for future reference, etc. They'll stop by once in a while to say hello and give us an update .... let us know what's going on in their lives and tell us how their child is doing. Many folks join us just to get a basic understanding of JRA, which many have never heard of until their child's doctor makes the diagnosis. To check the archives to look for information pertinent to their questions, to visit the links stored in our group's bookmarks folder. Many unsubscribe once their child's arthritis goes into remission (I do get a personal email now and then from people in this situation and it always makes me smile to hear about children who are continuing to do well).

Others take a much more active role, reading virtually each and every message sent through the group and putting in the time and effort needed to respond thoughtfully. You'll see these folks' names often, so you'll know who I mean ... and I, for one, feel so extremely fortunate to have happened upon these extra special people in my travels through cyberspace. They do what they do through the goodness in their hearts. They share their knowledge and advice and offer support and encouragement ... and it means a lot to many people.

But ... when we look at the same painting, we each can see something different on the canvas : )

they ask how shes doing and i say shes doing ok she has her ups and downs really they dont know what i am going through all they really care about is that is getting her education and shes happy my hubbys side of the family well they dont even call i have to make all the calls and on my side well i dont have many left except for my brothers and sisters and they really dont understand cause they dont have any kids they are closer to than her dads side and helps me when is having problems mom aint here no more and my real dad also mom is the one who would call me and say well hows my grandbaby doing here theres more of a contact where yall understand me when i say whats going on with cause yall may have experienced it in your journey down the road i am on i am so glad you did start this group Georgina i been here i think since 2000 and and will be here as long as your here Robbin

I think that its wonderful of you to stand up for Bert the way that you have.

I hope everyone remembers that we are all struggling with our own issues and feelings. Some days are definitely better than others, and that applies to everyone even if you are not at your "sickest". What goes on 'off" the Internet is what life is really all about and many people are struggling from day to day. It is not for us to judge.

I belong to another board that deals with my diagnosis......................and I find that the reason that I spend so much time posting there is because the people on it are actually "supportive" of one another and not "judgmental". If you post a question there................no matter how silly it may sound there are 100 responses to it. Sometimes one cant offer any answers, but just a kind word goes a long way.

These boards should be a place where one can feel as if they will find comfort in knowing others who may be .....or may have been, going through something similar. No one on a Internet message board should be considered a replacement for your own doctor.

There is a lot of good information on here...................yet there is also a lot of misinformation on here. You can take it all in and then research it for yourself. Dont be fooled into thinking that someone on a message board is going to cure................let alone diagnose your disease.

If something is working for you personally, then go for it! It does not matter if those on this board agree or not. It only matters that you and your own physician are aware of what is going on with you,, and YOUR health is all that matters.

I feel sorry for Bert also. I do think that she was personally attacked for expressing her opinion as so many others on here do DAY in and DAY out.

I have found that this is a tough board. If you are a newbie then you seem to be dismissed by others here who have been around for quite some time. Seems kind of high schoolish!

Bert if you are still reading I wish you the best and hope that things seem brighter for you already,.

To Everyone,

I know I may anger some here, but I am very disappointed in how Bert

has been made to feel. Some may think she is too sensitive, but I

beleive we are all sensitive when it comes to feeling we are being

attacked. As Bert said - she did not attack any one directly in her

post. It was actually I who had commented directly that it sounded

like another salesman, and I feel very bad that she was the one

reprimanded. I also want to say that I have never considered Bert

overly opinionated, out of line, or appearing as if she was

attacking any one. She has never appeared to me to sound overtly

depressed, or too excited, or negative. On the contrary, she is

usually the one who tries very hard in her responses to help others

feel better. I have seen nothing but a kind, funny, generous and

conciencous person in Bert. I for one will greatly miss her presence

here. She has several times picked me up with a good word, or made

me laugh with a joke or her witty banter with Jerry. I am very

discouraged she has been singled out, and made to feel badly. I

don't think it was right. It has me very weary now to post, and will

probably be much quieter from now on. I came here because I needed

support. Not just conversation about strictly my liver, and was

happy I had found this wonderful diverse group, who was intersted in

my whole life. And I have had lots of support from all of you. But

what has happened with Bert just makes me very uncomfortable.I won't

quit the group, but like I said, I will be much quieter.

Bert, if you still get the digest, I for one am very sorry about all

of this, and wish you would stay with us. And I love 'ya!
