Hi Stacey,

It sounds like if it weren't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at

all! :-) But, you could look at the glass half full and say that you could

have been in an accident on a road, in a storm, and instead your car got hit

in the shop. LOL It's all a matter of perspective.

I go for my Remicade infusion on Tuesday, and I'm anxiously awaiting it,

too.

Sending love and hugs,

Carol

[ ] Bad Luck

Hi Everyone,

Well my car was repaired again. Hope it stays fixed this time. But........

It just so happens that while my car was at the garage, a delivery truck

backed up into it. Yep... that's right. My car was wrecked while being

repaired. The hood is a mess. So now its going to the body shop tomorrow

to

get that fixed. I have to laugh. It's just so pitiful. LOL. Does anyone

else have this kind of luck. From pervert neighbors, to dead batteries, to

freak accidents, to RA, life is sure keeping me on my toes lately.

I went to our fire dept's Longaberger basket and Holiday crafts bingo today.

I won a door prize. A candle holder. I had fun. My dad even played. Mom

was playing next to me. I couldn't decide who to laugh at more. Mom trying

to keep up with her bad eyesight or dad being his grumpy old self. He won a

basket though. It was enjoyable. We all had a pretty good time. They are

going to have another one for Easter and I can't wait.

I have a Remicade infusion on Thursday. I can tell it's time. My knees are

groaning. I have decided to go this one alone. I haven't had any probs

with

any of the other ones and I just want to be alone for this one.

I'm going to cut this short as there are storms coming. Hope everyone has a

comfortable night.

Love and Hugs

Stacey,

I'm sure I could win any bad luck contest. That's about the only thing I

could win. You said you won a door prize. About the only thing I ever won

was a $25 gift certificate. Someone stole my purse and took that, along with

a $100 bill and the rest of my money.

I had a wreck and had my car repaired. The first day I had it back and was

driving to work, I stopped at a store on the way. When I came out of the

store, my car had rolled out into the street and hit a truck! A pin had

dropped out of the transmission!

I am also a lemon magnet. My job is to attract lemons and help keep them

away from the rest of you. So whatever I buy has a good chance of being a

lemon.

Within a year's time, I was diagnosed with shingles, rheumatoid arthritis,

bleeding ulcer and anemia, and breast cancer. How lucky can one person get?

So as the saying goes, if it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

And I don't let it get me down.

Goodness, is the repair shop getting you a rental while the body shop fixes the

damages? Last time I had some body work done on my car, the body shop had it

for 10 days!

I love fairs and festivals too. This time of year is so much fun with all the

events leading up to Christmas.

Sue,

My goodness, I am struck dumb! I don't know whether to laugh or cry - had your

gift certificate stolen as well as your wallet and money?!

I once left my car in neutral while I was at the gym. I came out and thought my

car had been stolen!! I looked around and realized my car had coasted to the

edge of the parking lot. Lucky there were no cars parked there or there would

have been a fender bender for sure!

I'm not sure you are the " lemon " winner. Seems these days things aren't made

like they used to be. You have lots of company.

Keep laughing, it certainly beats the alternative.

> Seems we have had a strain of bad luck around my house lately,

My GOODNESS, Shaw, does it ever *end* for your family?!?!

I'm glad to hear hubby is alright.

>They kept him in the hospital overnight to make sure his lungs

This can still sneak up on him days later, so make sure you keep a close eye

on him for a week or so.

Happened to me once, too - floor splinter, not a toothpick, but I had to go

get it dug out. Ouch!

On top of all of this CRAP,

> my hemorrhoids are flared up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I don't know how many

of

> you have ever experienced this problem, but there is no amount of roughage

That's what hubby says, too. He was in so much pain he went to the doc

thinking it was a rectal tumor or something, not believing 'roids could hurt

that much. He's now a firm believer in Anusol and his donut pillow.

>I need a huge box of Calgon!!!!

Nah! It would just irritate the foot and burn your butt.

At least there are no brownies in the

> house! LOL!

I'm glad you're keeping your sense of humor through all this. Don't worry -

this, too, shall pass, and you'll survive - you always do.

Sheesh Shaw. That's awful. I'm glad your dh is ok and I hope your foot

mends quickly. Can they x-ray your foot to see if the toothpick is gone?

Hemorrhoids are awful. Not really fair that I had them when my kids were

born since I had c-sections with both. :P

Yes they did, but wood does not show up on an X-ray, unless it is a huge piece. I did not know this. You learn something every day!

Dear Bobby,

I think you are all having a bit of bad karma. I hope everyone recovers,

but you had better treat lightly. I'm glad everyone was close enough to see a

doctor right away. Poor little Moxie must have been frightened to death. It's

raining cats and dogs here again today, after we had 4 1/2 " of rain yesterday.

People sweep their grass clippings in the sewer and they get clogged up, so when

it rains, there are huge drain clogs everywhere and the water stays in the

streets and even on lawns. We have a mound of dirt that we can't spread,

because it is too wet. After reading about your family's mishaps, I will stay

indoors. LOL

How are you doing with your Spanish classes? Can you roll those r's yet?

No one can say you lead a dull life, can they?

Stay well and upright.
