That's how they can tell if there is cellularity in your marrow, and where you are in your disease. Is he a CML specialist? I certainly hope the Gleevec brings your wbc down, but that's only part of the story, I would want to know it all. I know there is a lot going through your mind at this time and it's wise to have your questions before you, or even a tape recorder, but ask first, he may be edgy about being recorded on tape, it could come back to bite him in the butt.
