Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I posted this information a while ago but it recently came up again in chat so I've posted it again for those who may not know. Take care, Tracey **************************************** Post #6014 Hi Everyone, I've been doing some more surfing on drug interactions and came across a study that shows how Vitamin C can interact with drugs that are metabolized with the CYP3A4 isoenzyme. It seems that Vitamin C is a CYP3A4 inducer which means that it could potentially reduce the absorption of Gleevec. If anyone is taking Vitamin C, particularly in high doses, I would encourage you to talk to your doctor about it. Here is one article that describes the interaction: http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/501447_4 Tracey
