Guest guest
Skip, What were you symptoms? From: Lottie Duthu <lotajam@...> Subject: [ ] Skip's Illness " CML " < > Date: Thursday, October 9, 2008, 4:04 PM Dear Zavie, Thank goodness you were able to make contact with Skip. I was going to try to find his phone number. I was talking to Jimmy about him while we had lunch today and said I had written to you to ask if you had had contact with him. I think it is a common error to overlook pneumonia. Jimmy had it and the doctor kept denying it. I brought him to a pulmonologist and the doctor's eyes nearly dropped out of their sockets, he was losing his vital signs, had pneumonia, an abcess in his lungs that had eaten a hole through the bottom of the lung and further, had MRSA. He spent 29 days in isolation on Zyvox in the hospital. When the internest was called in (the one who ignored his symptoms), he became sheepish and defensive by saying he had hadn't heard anything in his chest before that time. What do you have to do, get a death rattle? This same doctor ignored my symptoms and I had MRSA and a mycobacterium in my lung. You can bet he's not our doctor any more. I think he is overburdened with patients and doesn't have enough time to spend with each patient, but it doesn't give him a free ride with us. Thank you for " looking in " on Skip and letting us know about his current condition. He's a valuable asset to us and a giant role model. Guest guest
Hi all once again, its good to be back at the computer, even though its for only a few mins. Well I started out with a temp, my normal temp is 36.6 or 36.8 has been for years, but that night I had a temp of 37.9, After a while it went up to 39.9c so we went to the ER room. there they gave me some platelets and we were transfered to the hem ward in the hospital. My symptoms were I was very short of breath, and temp of 39.++ c , I coughed up blood so they had to drain my lung. But that is all in the past I feel ok now I was treated like a king once they all were on side what was wrong with me LOL. Thanks once again for your concern, it will take some time before all back to normal whatever that is. Lottie and Zavie thanks SkipD dx'ed 30++++years From: Lottie Duthu <lotajamcomcast (DOT) net> Subject: [ ] Skip's Illness " CML " <groups (DOT) com> Date: Thursday, October 9, 2008, 4:04 PM Dear Zavie, Thank goodness you were able to make contact with Skip.
