Guest guest
Tasigna does not have the GI issues of nausea and vomiting. But for me it does have fatigue and limited bone pain, and I mean very limited. I think you will find it superior (as it relates to side effects) to Gleevec. And since it is 30x's more powerful than Gleevec, lets hope it zaps you back into PCRU! Guest guest
Tracey Hopefully Tasigna is the drug for you. What a shock to get the results that you have jumped out of remission, enough to change drugs. How long were you on Sprycel and glivec At least there is another drug or perhaps a combination of drugs. Thinking of you and fingers crossed for Friday first new taking of the medication. Let us all know how you get on. What a pain to learn another medication management routine. That is why you are the educator Tracey. Guest guest
Hi Sue, I'm not sure if you had us confused or if you knew that there was another (without the " e " ) so I thought I'd just post to make sure there was no confusion. I'm still on Gleevec and have been since Feb 2002. We all hope that will do well on Tasigna. Tracey > > > > Good luck to you . Guest guest
Hi Anyone ever have low counts of vitamin D or Vitamin D deficiency? I have. I am on Tasigna. The dr. is giving me a vitamin D prescription. A heavy dose for three weeks. Guest guest
H Sharon, I'd like to know if anyone actually has normal levels of Vit D because I have yet to see anyone who hasn't tested below normal limits and that's not just us CMLers but also regular folk. Guest guest
Thanks Tracey but they are concerned because my PTH (parathyroid hormone) is high and they think it is because my Vitamin D is low. We will see. I think it is because I love the sun and we have no sun right now in Northern Calif. Not much anyway. Guest guest
Hi! I am taking vitamin D 2000 IU per day because my levels were low. If you live in cloudy part of the world (which Seattle is!), your levels are likely to be low. More and more is being discovered about vitamin D and the role it plays in just about everything you can imagine and it is very hard to over dose. I'd take some permanently if I were you!
