Some saying it's not worth the risk and others saying it's not a big deal as long as it's in moderation. Well we should finally get a definitive answer soon as they're doing a clinical trial looking at how the two drugs interact. http://www.clinical <http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00428909?term=cml & rank=5> trials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00428909?term=cml & rank=5 I can't wait for the results! Guest guest
Hi Zavie, I have no idea if this is a typo or not but I would suspect not. I don't think this is an earth shattering type of trial so there really isn't a need for a large cohort of patients. As for the start date, it's quite possible that they started in late 2006 and are continuing to recruit. It's not unheard of for trials to take a long time to gather willing patients. The trial information was updated on the website in July 2008 with the caption " currently recruiting patients " so I would assume that the study is ongoing. You may also have noted that the study is being done in Korea.... in case you were hoping to enroll, you might think twice as that's a fair distance away Tracey > > Hi Tracey, > > This is a typo - yes? > > > Estimated Enrollment: > 25 > > Study Start Date: > November 2006 > > > Zavie (age 70) > 67 Shoreham Avenue > Ottawa, Canada, K2G 3X3 > dxd AUG/99 > INF OCT/99 to FEB/00, CHF > No meds FEB/00 to JAN/01 > Gleevec since MAR/27/01 (400 mg) > CCR SEP/01. #102 in Zero Club > 2.8 log reduction Sep/05 > 3.0 log reduction Jan/06 > 2.9 log reduction Feb/07 > 3.6 log reduction Apr/08 > e-mail: zmiller@... > Tel: 613-726-1117 > Fax: 309-296-0807 > Cell: 613-282-0204 > ID: zaviem > YM: zaviemiller > Skype: Zavie > > _____ > > From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Tracey > Sent: October 7, 2008 10:54 AM > > Subject: [ ] Gleevec and Tylenol > > Hi Everyone, > > For years we've been debating the dangers of taking Tylenol while on > Gleevec and for years we've had people on both sides of the fence. > Some saying it's not worth the risk and others saying it's not a big > deal as long as it's in moderation. > > Well we should finally get a definitive answer soon as they're doing a > clinical trial looking at how the two drugs interact. > > http://www.clinical > <http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00428909?term=cml & rank=5> > trials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00428909?term=cml & rank=5 > > I can't wait for the results! > > Tracey > > > >
