Hello all….Today I went to a local Asian market to see what they had interesting. I came home with a coconut! The brown outside is all off. There are no holes in it. I am assuming the coconut water is inside. He said to cut the top off to get the liquid out. Then cut it in half to get the coconut out.For $1.99 it was a challenge. Any suggestions or experiences to share? I have it in the frig. It is wrapped tightly in plastic….Thanks, Shirley

Sounds like what you got is a Thai young coconut. I cut them open with a dremel

tool, but haven't eaten thiem in years because they started dipping them in

formaldahyde before shipping them. Check the label on yours if that is a

concern for you. They are absolutely delicious though-wish I could stil find

the undipped ones.
