I wasn't sure if you had gotten yours yet. I look forward to hearing your

opinion.

I am hoping it is just my technique that is preventing me from getting the 4

mounds. They were getting them on the demo on QVC and it was the same machine. I

have saved the presentation and have watched it many times for some guidance -

but still no luck.

I got the Creations Elite since I wasn't 100% sure about needing the Vitamix

(well, no doubt there anymore!). Also, it was only $429 - which was a bargain!

It also came with the 48 oz container - which is the one I would have wanted

anyway. It is perfect for me and I have yet to have wished for the larger

container. I know it also had the lower (5 yrs instead of 7 yrs) warranty. It

was the same machine that Vitamix had for $557.

They also said it was quieter - though I have nothing to compare that to. (My

one cat DOES not like when I turn the speed past 8 - her ears go back and she

gets BIG eyes!)

Thanks for your help, Lea Ann!

I look forward to giving my opinion :-)What EXACTLY are you putting in - perhaps I can troubleshoot. Also - have you tried the recipe on my website? That one should turn out with the 4 mounds…

Hi Lea Ann,

I am using the recipes from the Creations Cookbook.

One is the Orange Sorbet

2 oranges (peeled, halved seeded)

2 Tbsp Sugar (I use a little stevia instead)

4 cups ice cubes

The other is Peach Soy Serbet - but I use Strawberries instead:

1 cup soy milk

1/4 cup sugar (I leave out since sometimes the soy milk is sweet enough)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract (I leave this out too)

1 lb frozen unsweetened peach slices (used strawberries)

So, strictly speaking I am not going by the exact recipe. I was thinking/hoping

that leaving out the sugar and vanilla extract would not be a big deal.

I have not used the recipe on your site since, on first glance, had ingredients

I didn't have or wouldn't get (juice/protein powder). But, now reading it very

close...I guess I could substitute soy milk for the juice and just use frozen

fruit?

I wil try it tonight as I have a bunch of frozen strawberries now. I will try

using the measurements on the container instead of a measuring cup. So, I should

put the soy milk to the 1 cup line and then add frozen ingredients to reach the

4 cup line?

I have the Creation VM..and I am short as well

.. and my first several attempts at making a ice cream like product wasn't too

good.. so I started experimenting.. What I found was I was useing way to much

liquid and not enough ice.. I was not getting the 4 Pillows. I kept thinking I

didn't need the ice if I was using frozen fruit but apparently I wasn't using a

large enough amt of frozen products

so gradually I figured it out... I now make a HUGE Green SMOOTHIE/ ICE CREAM

each day and it is thick and ice cream like and tastes great .. using more

veggies than fruit.

It is a bit of trial an error .. and now I use the recipes as guidelines ONLY

and not exact measurements.

Don't get discouraged.. just chg things up a bit and see what kind of results

you get.. Nothing is going to be too bad..that you couldn't eat it..
