Guest guest
Thanks Angel, This is good to know since I'm sure I will need some follow up labs. Now all I need is a different car since I would likely become ill and also have to throw out all my clothes if I went in mine. Still more workable than sitting in the waiting room, becoming ill and having to throw out my clothes and mask afterward anyway. - Sigh Again Is my attitude slipping a little? --text snipped--- > > I found out from the main office here in Vegas that you can request that > your blood is drawn in your car. ---text snipped---
Guest guest
Bobby, First of all I would turn that dr. into his superiors. How dare he talk to you like that. I hve quest labs do my PCR tests but that is because thats who Kaiser uses. So I can't help you there but I sure would like to help you in the other department!!! How dare he talk to you like that!!! I would not stand for that. Aloha Sharon _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ROBERTA DOYLE Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2008 2:14 PM Subject: [ ] Quest Labs Hi, I keep reading several of you refer to Quest Labs. Is this a chain, across the country? I checked it out in our directory and came up with Quest Diagnostics, is this the same one? If I have an order from my dr. can I go there for labs instead of going to a hospital? If so that would be great, I have been dying to get rid of my onc. since I started with him, he is a real jerk. I asked him a question one time, and he said, why don't you ask Dr. Talpaz, he's the expert isn't he? Another time he asked me why I had to visit him if I had Dr. Talpaz, he didn't seem to realize i needed an onc while I was in that trial. But I don't need one in the XL228 trial, so I don't need him and his snotty attitude, that is, if I can go to this Quest and get labs. Very early on when I was first diagnosed and didn't know a white cell from a red cell, I asked him what the difference was between a FISH test and a cytogenetic test. His answer, with a very snotty tone, was " you don't need to know that " . Boy was I glad to get rid of him! Tracey
