Guest guest
Dear , Thanks for the info. I don't want to get to the catostrophic part at all. LOL. I never seemed to need Procrit while on Gleevec. It was only after I started Sprycel and then SKI. Since I seem to need it more often, maybe I would be better off with Aranesp and only take it every 2 weeks, but then I would have to get my CBC every 2 weeks instead of every month. With the transfusions, it costs me nothing, but I have to replace the blood, not pint for pint, but they establish an account in your name and whatever the ratio numbers they use, they tell me when I no longer have to replace the blood. The donor just have to say they are donating for me, so it goes to my account. I'm o.k. for the rest of the year. Dr. Druker is probably right, all the years I took Procrit, I never had a problem. Have a good time celebrating your sister's birthday. My sister is 85 and all she does is whine about dying and going to meet her husband in heaven. I will be out of touch myself. Tomorrow afternoon we will leave to go to New Orleans and spend the night at the Ochsner hotel because I have an early morning appt. Next day I leave for Houston, so I will be away until Saturday. Have a safe trip, xoxox Lottie
