I can't imagine what it would be like to wear a pouch. When you think about it, that was entirely avoidable if they would have done the procedure with someone who was certified. You are right about seeing a good specialist, but not only for a colonoscopy. I seek out the best for everything. Maybe we should ask our doctors how many procedures they have done in the past year, and how many were successful. There is a web site that you can look up any doctor to see if they have been sued. Since this is a litigious society, you may not find many who have not been sued for malpractice. I do remember asking some doctors how many surgeries they did in a particular field and how successful they were in bringing relief. It doesn't always mean they did something wrong, but the patient was looking for a green back poltice.
