They are told this and that I am not a pin cushion. . .I realize that I don't have veins and that most RNs do not stick frequently. If they have any doubts, get another nurse or a PIC Nurse to do the poking. Yes, I bruise and Nurses have blown more than one of my veins. Therefore, if like me, you have to speak up for self. Make sure that then you do, it is in a nice, humble voice. . .more for their comfort than yours. so as NOT to make them Angry, Defensive; being your direct care-giver.
