Guest guest
Hey , I have exploded out of all my pants and too, do not eat very much. Was always one that had to eat 3 meals and snack throughout the day to maintain 100 lbs. Had an extremely high metabolism. Now I can look at food and gain weight. I am almost 25 pounds over weight, and am miserable.. have a small bone structure so do not need this extra weight. Only eat 2 meals a day and have 20 to 30 nuts for a snack during the day, drink approx a gal of water a day and half a can coke and stil look and feel like a cow. I do not look in the mirror because that is not me in there. do not know what to do have 2 closets of clothes (dress, work and play) cannot wear, but hate to get rid of in hopes to someday lose the gut.. My daughter is 5 mths preg. My belly is as big as hers. If your dr can give you any insight. I do not think dieting is the answer, and know it is the med, in my case Sprycel, and have no choice but to take it. Anxiously waiting to see what your dr has to say. Anita [ ] Sprycel Diet--Need Info Hi Everyone, I went through the whole Gleevec-weight gain battle several years ago and finally won that battle but never knew why I suddenly was able to lose weight. Now I'm on Sprycel (3 years) and after a weight loss when I went off the drug for several weeks, I have gained weight and need to lose 20 pounds to be at what I consider my normal average weight. I went on Weight Watchers for 2 months and lost 6 pounds early on then actually gained a pound back without ever cheating on the diet. Then I stopped losing altogether. So, I went on the high-protein, no-carb Atkins diet which I don't consider to be healthy and have gained back another 3 pounds. I have only beenb on this diet for 9 days and will give it that first two weeks of no carbs whatsoever before I give up. I do not eat fat -- only lean protein. This is crazy! I hardly eat anything at all. I don't need dieting ideas. I know diets and know what works for me but not anymore. I know this is a side effect of Sprycel and just want to know if anyone else is experiencing it. My personal appearance is of extreme importance to me as I'm sure yours is to you. Is there anything we can do to kick start our metabolism? I see my onc tomorrow and will talk to him about it, too. Any insights to this side effect will be appreciated. ! Thanks!
