Guest guest
There are probably more than a few of you out there who take aspirin. I didn't know there was a right and wrong to take it. Dr. Art Ulene is a board member of AARP and has written about this subject. Part of the article is below and if you are interested in more information, I will also furnish you with the web site to read more. 1. If your blood pressure is normal, take the aspirin at whatever time of day you are most likely to remember it. 2. If you have a slightly elevated blood pressure, or " prehypertension " (under 140 systolic and 90 diastolic), take your aspirin in the evening. Two studies have shown that, in people with prehypertension, the systolic blood pressure (the higher number) drops about five points and the diastolic pressure drops about three points when aspirin is taken before bedtime. No change occurs when the aspirin is taken in the morning. http://aarp1.convio.net/site/PageNavigator/Dr_Art_September?JServSessionIdr001=s\ mkkvstgl1.app39b Having a chilly fall morning in the deep south, Lottie
