I never had to evacuate before and we have never had water on my street, but awfully close on the next street and in the school yard down the street 2 blocks down. I know someone who left Houston to go to her family in Lafayette. Wonder how she made out when she found out Houston took a beating. Had I stayed in Houston, we would have been out of electricity there, too. We are all back to par now, just have to get rid of the trash and trees in the yard. Will take a mighty big saw.
