Guest guest
Dear , I don't know if you were directing your query to me about food in the fridge. While we evacuated to Houston, our sons threw everything away and cleaned our refrigerators. They never opened the freezer and fortunately, everything did not thaw out completely and re-froze. We had just put up shrimp, so that is safe. You could smell it if it wasn't. The garbage is picked up sporadically. Only once since the storm. Everything is still piled mile high on the curb. On the day the garbage was collected, the odors coming from the truck lingered in the air and it was dripping on the street. My son went out and sprayed Lysol and bleach and hosed it down. By the way, Rhonda called tonight and she has power. That is good to hear, now they can get back to normal again. The neighborhood sort of had like a block party and cooked all their food and shared it. I still haven't heard from Anita Wristen. I keep calling her number, but there is no answer. I think we should go back to the CB radios, they always worked and you could always get the state police on their frequency. Does that answer your question about the garbage pickup?
